What is this?

This is largely a learning exercise, although I have wanted to create a time-designed site for some time now.

I wanted to create a site that could 'live' longer than me. That and my lazyness in updating the site will be less noticable.

The entire page's colour scheme is completely drawn from the current time and day.

The hue (colour) is taken from what day of the year it is.

The lightness or darkness of the page is determined by the hour of the day (GMT), with 2am being dead of night and 12pm being the lightest time.

This site is completely CSS and XHTML compliant, which I'm sure someone out there will be happy about.

In short, all the content is pure XHTML with no style elements at all. A Javascript function operates the button that brought you here (taking the colours from the stylesheet), and the stylesheet is compliant CSS generated from a PHP script.
